#27 What features are available on the A Life Recorded site?
A Life Recorded is the perfect place to store the memories of your departed loved ones in a personalised Online Memorial Plot, giving you the chance to access them on the internet wherever you are in the world.
The memories will be stored in your own personally constructed Online Memorial Plot, enhanced with one of the A Life Recorded monumental tombstone logos or, if you wish, you can upload your own image to customise your Online Memorial Plot.
There are various domains in the A Life Recorded site for your loved one's memories to be stored; Valhalla, the Beautiful Realm of Thalansia, the Angels' Playground or in the beautiful Life Recorded Hall of Remembrance. Our newest plot area is the Roadside Memorials area; providing a peaceful resting place for those who's lives have been tragically lost on our roads. We have also recently expanded our Memorial Services to include a Pet Memorial Garden, which you can read about in more detail below. Please feel free to contact us with your suggestions for new plot areas.
The Online Memorial Plot that you purchase is originally set to display either the A Life Recorded standard monumental tombstone with open hands holding a globe, onto which is carved the eternity symbol (click to view the standard A Life Recorded Tombstone (opens in new window)), or the new A Life Recorded Eternity monumental tombstone image (click to view the A Life Recorded Eternity Tombstone (opens in new window)).
If you would prefer to customise your Online Memorial Plot with something that would better describe your loved one, you can upload your own image or contact us with your design ideas.
When you sign up for an Online Memorial Plot with A Life Recorded you will be given a unique address, this will allow friends and family easy access to the plot you have created, from anywhere in the world.
You can write the story of the departed person's life, the memories you shared, their favourite poems, their past achievements; everything that made them unique to you.
Once your Online Memorial Plot is created, visitors can enter and leave flowers, teddy bears or can light candles and leave messages of condolence.
You are encouraged to create a photo album of your loved one by uploading photographs and pictures to their Online Memorial Plot.
It will be possible for film and audio clips to be stored in your Online Memorial Plot permitting visitors access to view and download your audio and video files. You can also select your own uploaded audio file to play in the background when the Online Memorial Plot is visited.
The owner of the Online Memorial Plot takes on the role of administrator. Having easy access to your Online Memorial plot will enable you to make changes and deletions, as well as upload images or media files and choose your tombstone/plot image and audio for visitors to experience.
We also offer a simplified version of our standard Online Memorial Plot that you can purchase in memory of lost Companion Animals/Pets. As you create your Online Pet Memorial Plot, you are invited to choose from a selection of pet-themed tombstone options. You can write about your departed pet's life, the treasured memories and shared times that made them so dear to you. You may also like to add poems or readings that have helped to ease your pain after the loss of your pet.
Once your Online Pet Memorial Plot is online, visitors can enter and leave written tributes or messages of condolence.
You are also encouraged to upload photographs and pictures to create an album available to view online.
